Daffodil Flower Essence
//Connecting with the Edges of Yourself, Growing Out of Hard Times// Daffodil is often considered a flower of sociability, and I find this to be true. She grows in beautiful patches, and then spreads out around entire fields. A lovely bright place in early Spring, drawing in a lively sense of connection back into the new growth and a desire to get outside and connect with friends and nature. Daffodil has a beautiful brightness and a very clear desire to stand out in the crowd...while also being a part of the group. All of this is very true and a part of her flower essence. But there is more, so so much more. Daffodil is one of the first fierce yellow and orange flowers to come into full stance in the Spring. She often grows right out of the muddy snowy ground, with no apology for having nothing else green around her. Daffodil will be the only newly living thing next to large stands of still dormant plants. This is doctrine of growth out of darkness of self. A coming forward after a deep deep intuitive and dormant phase, or after a serious illness, or a Dark Night of the Soul. The fierce innocent sweetness of the Daffodil, along with the fearlessness of still freezing mornings and lonely quality of being the very first to venture forth...these aspects show the intrepid quality that Daffodil Flower Essence brings to us when we work with her. So often we accidentally shy away from our darker aspects (avoiding this work is supported by mainstream culture, so it’s no wonder). Daffodil brings the tender and direct invitation to stand true in oneself fully accepting all the parts. She acts as an integrator of the learns sometimes hard won in illness...allowing us to be radiant and beautiful and delicate and truthful, on the edge of our own Wilderness. 1 oz.
